Transfer Ownership or Moved House

Use this guide if you are moving house, buying a property with a PlugStream charger, selling a property with a charger installed, or need to move a charger from one MyPlugStream account to another.

If you are leaving a charger at a property

Before completion or handover, make sure the new owner or occupier has:

  • the charger model
  • the charger serial number
  • installer handover documents if available
  • warranty or installation records if available
  • the PlugStream Support contact details

Do not give the new owner your MyPlugStream account password.

Contact PlugStream Support if the charger needs to be released from your account or transferred to a new owner.

If you are moving into a property with a PlugStream charger

Ask the previous owner, landlord, property manager, or installer for:

  • charger serial number
  • any activation or handover details
  • installation certificate or electrical records
  • installer contact details
  • any site-specific notes about load balancing, schedules, or access control

If the charger is still linked to someone else's account, contact PlugStream Support. We may need evidence that you are the new owner, tenant, landlord, or authorised site contact before access can be changed.

If the charger is being removed or reinstalled

A PlugStream charger is connected to mains electricity and must only be isolated, removed, or reinstalled by a competent electrician or authorised installer.

Keep records of any removal or reinstallation work. Warranty and support decisions may depend on installation evidence.

What to include when contacting support

Include:

  • charger serial number
  • site address or installation location
  • current account email if known
  • new account email
  • whether you are the owner, tenant, landlord, property manager, or installer
  • any handover evidence or installation paperwork available
