Smart Charging Compliance

PlugStream 7 and PlugStream 22 charge points are designed to support the Electric Vehicles (Smart Charge Points) Regulations 2021 when correctly installed, configured, and used in the UK.

What this means for customers

Your PlugStream charger may:

  • use a default smart charging mode
  • wait for a scheduled charging window
  • apply a randomised start delay before charging begins
  • receive software updates when connected to PlugStream services
  • use secure communication with PlugStream Cloud

These behaviours are normal for a smart charge point. If your vehicle is plugged in but charging has not started, check Charger readiness in the MyPlugStream app first.
