Your Charger's Setup Page
Every PlugStream charger has its own setup page: a small website that runs on the charger itself. Open it from a phone or laptop on your home network, or from the charger's own Wi-Fi hotspot when the charger is offline. It works without the internet and without the MyPlugStream app.
The setup page needs charger firmware 1.72 or later. Removing personal data on the setup page needs firmware 1.73 or later.
Try the app first
Most things are quicker in the MyPlugStream app. Use the setup page when the app can't reach the charger, for example after you change your router, or when PlugStream Support asks you to.
What you need
- The charger's serial number. It is your username. See Where do I find my charger serial number?
- The charger's local access password. It is on the Local access card in the box, and in the MyPlugStream app under Local access. See Your charger's local access password.
- A phone or laptop with a web browser.
At a glance
| You need | Use |
|---|---|
| Hotspot name | PlugStream-XXXX |
| Hotspot Wi-Fi password | The adoption code on the charger's shipping-box label, exactly as printed. If your charger has a local access password, use that instead. It is on the Local access card in the box, and in the MyPlugStream app. |
| Setup page address, on the hotspot | https://192.168.4.1 |
| Setup page address, on your home network | https://PlugStream-XXXX.local, once the charger has a local access password |
| Setup page username | The charger's serial number |
| Setup page password | None until the charger has a local access password. Then that password. |
| First visit to the setup page | Your browser shows a security warning. Check that the certificate fingerprint matches the one in the MyPlugStream app, then continue. |
XXXX is the last 4 characters of the charger's serial number. Plain http:// addresses also work: they take you to the https:// page.

- Connect by Ethernet, with automatic addressing (DHCP) or a static address
- Check or change the OCPP connection
- Check the charger's certificates
Good to know
- Settings that could take the charger offline can't be changed during a charge. That covers Wi-Fi, Ethernet and the OCPP connection. Stop charging first.
- Sessions are short. The setup page logs you out after 15 minutes without activity, and at most two people can be logged in at once.
- The pictures in these guides come from a demonstration charger, serial number
DEMO000001, hotspotPlugStream-0001. Your charger shows its own details.
