What Your Installer Should Hand Over

Before your installer leaves, make sure you have the information you need to use, manage, and get support for your PlugStream charger.

App and account handover

Your installer should give you one of the following:

  • a handover QR code
  • an invite link
  • the charger serial number and activation code

Use this to claim the charger in the MyPlugStream app. If you already have a MyPlugStream account, use the same email address during handover.

Charger information

Ask your installer to confirm:

  • charger model
  • charger serial number
  • charger location name
  • network route, such as Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or mobile connectivity where fitted
  • whether any load balancing or site limit has been configured
  • the default charging mode selected at handover

Installation paperwork

Depending on the installation, your installer may provide:

  • electrical installation certificate or relevant installation records
  • warranty information
  • photos or evidence required for the installer warranty workflow
  • details of protective devices fitted upstream of the charger
  • any site-specific operating notes

Keep these records somewhere safe.

Customer walkthrough

Before handover is complete, make sure you know how to:

  • open the charger in the MyPlugStream app
  • check Charger readiness
  • understand the main LED colours
  • choose or review the charging mode
  • stop charging and safely unplug
  • contact your installer or PlugStream Support

If something is missing

If you did not receive a QR code, invite link, activation details, or installation records, contact your installer first.

If the charger is already claimed to the wrong account or the app handover cannot be completed, contact PlugStream Support.
