I can't unplug my charge point
Most EVs lock the charging cable in place during charging to make sure it’s disconnected safely.
Before you can unplug, the vehicle must release this lock.
If you can’t remove the cable, it usually means the car hasn’t properly ended the charging session or hasn’t recognised that charging has finished. In this case, try ending the session directly from your vehicle. How to do this depends on the make and model, so check your vehicle’s user guide for specific instructions.
In most cars, the charge port unlock control can be found on the centre console, near the driver’s door, or on the key fob.
If you’re still unable to disconnect, many EVs include an emergency release cable inside the vehicle. Refer to your car’s manual to find its location and how to use it.
