PlugStream Dock Installation

This page is the support URL for PlugStream Dock installation. It can be used for the PlugStream Dock NFC chip now, and the installation diagrams can be added later without changing the programmed link.

Before you start

Installation work should only be completed by a competent installer. If the installation involves electrical work, isolate the relevant supply and verify it is safe before opening, wiring, or adjusting any equipment.

Before fitting the PlugStream Dock, confirm:

  • the Dock model and supplied parts match the job paperwork
  • the mounting location is suitable, accessible, and protected from accidental impact
  • the final position leaves enough clearance for normal use and future inspection
  • any cable route, connector, or harness is clear of sharp edges, strain, and water ingress risk
  • the customer, site address, and installation notes are available for handover records

Installation checklist

  1. Inspect the PlugStream Dock and supplied parts for damage before installation.
  2. Confirm the final position and orientation before drilling, fixing, or applying permanent adhesive.
  3. Prepare the mounting surface so the Dock sits flat and secure.
  4. Route any cable, connector, or harness according to the supplied product instructions.
  5. Secure the Dock and confirm it cannot move under normal handling.
  6. Confirm covers, seals, glands, and strain relief are correctly seated where fitted.
  7. Take installation photos before any access covers or cable routes are hidden.
  8. Complete any pairing, commissioning, or handover steps required for the site.

After installation

Before leaving site:

  • confirm the Dock is secure and in the agreed position
  • confirm any linked charger, site, customer, or handover record has been updated
  • record the installed location and take any required evidence photos
